For Work Interactive, the work starts at the site development stage when great care is taken to ensure the site is built to allow effective indexing by the search engines and increase the potential for good rankings. Particular attention is given to the ‘Metadata’ which is ‘hidden’ in the code behind the pages and contains information for the search engines.

Another key factor in effective SEO is the appropriate and strategic inclusion of targeted keywords and key phrases in the actual content/copy of the site pages. Although the Client provided all content for the site, Work Interactive undertook research and provided a list of key phrases to be incorporated in the copy.

It is worth noting that nowadays, the most important criteria for a site to achieve top rankings with search engines - especially Google - is the number of in-bound links a site gets i.e. How many external sites are linking to yours. Furthermore, a search engine will not only look at the quantity of those in-bound links but will take the quality of those links into consideration as well.

An ongoing link building campaign allowed us to improve the PR and rank the site on top search results.
