Respondents to a Forbes Media survey said the most effective tools for generating conversions are search engine optimisation (48%); e-mail marketing (46%) and pay-per-click (32%).
The survey was made up of senior advertising, media and marketing executives.
Those who were surveyed predict that that search engine optimisation and viral marketing will likely see the biggest rise in advertising budgets in the next six months.
